More Methanol product recalls from Bristol based company

There has been another major recall announced for methanol based hand sanitiser, this time from a producer based in Bristol.

The sanitiser has been sold in retail outlets and Cash and Carry stores since March.

Methanol is not fit for human consumption and can cause skin irritation, breathing irritation and headaches. It is deemed a serious risk and must be kept away from children and pets.

The company behind the sanitiser issued an apology but it remains unclear how they came to offer a product to business and the public that is based on a poisonous substance.

ClearWater Hygiene repeat that businesses must remain vigilant when selecting hand sanitiser for the protection of their employees and customers. Ethanol based products with full CE certification are the minimum requirement when it comes to safety and the fight against Covid-19.
